"A Solid Brand"
#LinkedIn has been my lifeline to the public sector over the past 2+ years while I’ve been the Chef of this Prestigious Club. Even though I was pressured and asked to stop social media I continue to press on because I help so many out there and I love helping others. I said over a year ago “absolutely not… All I do on Social Media is Spread the Cheer. I have numerous LinkedIn Professionals writing me, weekly, to say how inspiring I am, how they love how I hold my staff up, or how they learned or apply this they learned on my LinkedIn Post”.
Does everyone out there know LinkedIn has got me through some really rough times? No. Probably not. So this is a big Thanks to my 20k+ followers on LinkedIn and appreciation that 100k views on a post can gather.
You see over the past 20 years I’ve been in the Limelight pretty much every month. Washingtonian’s Top 50 and Top 100, Washington Post’s Tom Seitsema, Eve Zeibart, Phyliss Richman, Fox 5, Channel 7, Channel 9, James Beard, etc, it goes on and on… I’ve been out there because I work extremely hard on my Teams, I listen to my Clientele and I stand behind what we do.
My number one saying is “Where Ever You Go There You Are”. I learned this early on in the Hairstyling Business my Father owned and my Father reinforced it when I was heading in the Chef Direction for a Career. He used to say “ Everyone needs to Eat and Everyone needs their Hair Done” - LOL - He was priceless.
So while only BHCC Membership can experience my dishes, my menus, my dedication to managing their money properly and well, and everything else that goes with ‘doing the right things right” I know in my heart to continue… this relentless pursuit… because the Journey towards #Excellence starts today and everyday after. There is no finish line.
So in 2017 I brought the respect that Belle Haven Country Club deserves and the Members are so appreciative. We have only received 2 great pieces of Press, one early on and one recently but that’s not bad considering it’s a private club. I have personally received over 40 Member thank you letters, notes of appreciation and dozens more Members writing in to the GM. Remember I’m not in competition with anyone here so when there’s a great post or a great write up I think that’s great for the Brand. Yes I’m a Brand but I represent a Brand and I represent BHCC very well in my opinion.
Attached you’ll find one of the examples I referenced in 100k views. I posted breaking down 2 Forty Pound Halibut to remind Chefs to keep their skills sharpened and how butchering pays off. In 3 days almost 50,000 people viewed this post. Over 700 likes and 300 comments.
