"Dexter"

I’ve been at this Chef Thing for a long time. A little more than 4 decades of burns, bumps and bruises but you’ll always hear me say that “I’m only half way there”. You see I like The Action, The Stress, The Physical Demands and especially THE PEOPLE. I’ve never thought of doing anything else, NEVER, and I see myself being one of the longest tenured Chefs in History. Just follow me and let’s see. I am only #halfwaythere.

Well enough about me… Dexter - Russell has been producing knifes for over 200 years (that’s a long time) and with The Bruins in the Stanley Cup Finals this year I thought it would be fitting to reintroduce you to Dexter. You see I’ve been using Dexter knives for 40+ years.

The first ever knife I ever bought ( see pic below ) was a Dexter. I bought it in the Summer of 77’ while working at Alfred’s Victorian. I had just been promoted from Pots to Dish and then to the Line so I wanted the best knife I could find, best I could afford and in the end… I did. I found a quality product that has great value and a superb reputation. This knife has done me well for over 40 years.

So as Time and Tradition goes I’d say Dexter has my vote for one of the top American Made Craftmanships. Thank you Dexter for all the years of being there for me as a Chef.

Yours Truly,

Chef Keller

When my Father made the Hall of Fame I had Dexter with me as well. He had his brand of Sticks and Skates and I have my Brand… Dexter.

The very first knife I ever purchased. I use it for everything and it’s never let me down. I use it to split live Lobsters in half lengthwise before I grill them. This knife has traveled from PA to Alberta to British Columbia to CA then to FL and up…
