"Experience the NorthWest"
In 1985 - 86’ I worked in Vancouver, BC for the World Expo and experienced a place like no other. Sure it rained a lot but this is God’s Country people !! I don’t know any other way of describing it. When the sun came out, one of those 150 days of the year, it was absolutely the most gorgeous place I’ve experienced.
Today I was lucky enough to get some of the Columbia River’s King Salmon on opening day. This along with Fiddleheads, White Asparagus and Morels will make up a Feature for my Members. While taking these outdoor pics a “very high profile” BHCC Member asked me what I was doing? I showed his table the dish and went through how special this was and he said, no joke, he was just in Augusta last week and some “very high profile” person said they heard BHCC has an amazing Chef with an amazing Social Media Presence. I asked “who could that be I wonder?”
On this dish I prepared a Pinot Noir Buerre Rouge with Salmon Creek and That’s another special touch that has been mentioned by Opus One rep and other’s. I am here to share these daily “Wows” and keep you inspired because I enjoy cooking and teaching others.
